IMAP access (including webmail) is slowed down. An unusual IO spike seems to be the culprit, we’re investigating.

We were probably wrong: the IMAP connection (which queries our internal databases) seems to be longer than usual. Since the webmail reconnects on each page view, everything feels slower. Normal IMAP accesses are not much impacted, since you usually connect only once for the entire session.

The speed is now almost back to normal. We’ll still have to make some internal changes to make sure it won’t happen again.

Caching has been enabled to speed up authentication. We still work on our internal database queries to speed that up too.

We’ve further optimized our queries. The webmail is now faster than it was even before this issue.
