A disk error happened on this server at 8:52, which caused MySQL to malfunction with write operations (INSERT, UPDATE, etc.). The read operations (SELECT) continued to work properly in the meantime. Our monitoring system failed to detect this particular and unusual error, and today being a day off in France, we were slower than usual to intervene, hence the long downtime. That simply should not have happened, we’re very sorry. We’re currently rebuilding a brand new monitoring system, which will be much more powerful and would have detected this type of failure. We apologize for this issue and will keep you informed soon about that new monitoring system on our blog. |
