Everything is back. A network attack was launched by a fraudulent customer. Our firewall was supposed to block it automatically, but it didnd’t. We’ll investigate more to find out why. |

There was a bug in our firewall where attacks could fail to be blocked. They were detected just fine, but right before blocking it, a message was logged where we tried to resolve the destination IP address. If that resolve failed badly (e.g. DNS server unavailable, which can happen during an UDP flood), the whole process was cancelled, including the ban. The fix has now been deployed on all our servers. |
