Temporary network issues between one of our internal servers and the http6 server caused its HTTP proxy to stop accepting a large number of requests. The HTTP proxy has 2 levels of redundancy which should have prevented this issue to occur. Simulations had been run before and didn’t exhibit this problem. We’re still trying to figure out what went wrong exactly. |

We’ve found the cause of the issue: a software error introduced in a recent major upgrade of our HTTP proxy (put into production on August, 8th). We’ve fixed it and have deployed a new version of the proxy on some test servers. It will be deployed on all servers in the next few days. |
