Mails have been delayed. This is due to a bug we've been tracking for the past 3 days.

The bug has been identified. When a LOT of different mails are being scanned at the same time, we may run out of file handles. Increasing the maximum file handles is easy, but that wouldn't really solve the underlying issue.
We have to find a smart way to limit the scanning rate of clients. The sending rate is already limited - scanning is trickier.

Scanning messages is now rate limited per client. That should solve the issue.
